Troxell Insurance Launches Mini Website Redesign

See how small website design tweaks can make a big difference.

Think an affordable website redesign is out of reach? Take a look at Troxell Insurance. Troxell Insurance is a longtime customer of LRS Web Solutions. In 2017, we redesigned their site, and as the years passed, the site needed some improvements, especially the menu links, which had become an overwhelming mega-menu of choices.

Alysse Hewell, marketing manager and Troxell agent, knew it was time for a touch-up. “The menu became too much to manage, and we had several ways for people to request a quote. We wanted to simplify it.” They were looking for a small redesign for their website.

LRS gave the Troxell site a new look and feel to increase usability and make it easy for site visitors to find what they are looking for.

In February 2021, a refreshed website redesign launched with a number of improvements and enhancements. The design keeps what works, such as the cool rollovers on the team page. But the navigation restructures the growing company to make it easier for the user to find people in specific divisions.

  • The main menu got a complete overhaul. It is now streamlined to just four choices with a limited number of sub-menu options.
  • The homepage layout now has clearer and more succinct messaging.
  • Troxell’s agents are among its most popular content, so we made sure the team was front and center, with photos and a key metric of 90% client retention.
  • Testimonials and locations provide a nice balance of gaining trust and making it easy to find the content that data shows the users want most. Blockquotes slide into the page, creating a moment of delight that users enjoy.
  • The subpages also got a refresh in design and content. For example, Troxell’s most popular blog post is now featured on the personal insurance page.
  • New elements added to the style guide makes it easy for the Troxell staff to update and enhance subpages in the future.

Like your insurance premium exemplifies how small investments can protect you from disaster, a modest investment in your business website can ensure your site stays fast, modern, and relevant to your customers.
